Steenbras River Gorge
Experience a full day of adventure with a 65m waterfall abseil, cliff jumps from 3-22m high and a beautiful hike.
The Steenbras River Gorge, also known as Kamikaze Kanyon, in the Kogelberg Biosphere is about a 45 minute drive from Cape Town city center. This area is home to the Fynbos Biome that consists of about 9000 plant species of which 6200 is endemic.
On arrival you will get a hearty breakfast and after a short safety briefing a +-30 minute hike to the first cliff jumping pools will follow.
Another 30 minute hike will take you to the top of Thunder Falls. Here you can have lunch on the banks of the river above the falls.
Next the abseil down the waterfall will start. This will rock your socks off!
From the waterfall hike back out of the gorge to enjoy a light dinner and sundowner before returning back to Cape Town.
